In my series “Sons of the Sand”: the initial drawing served as a springboard for a subsequent song and video clip. The video, which runs for 4 minutes and 47 seconds, provides a narrative-driven visual exploration of my artworks. It includes 12 paintings I created over a two-year period while traveling across the Iberian Peninsula and in South Korea, my country of origin. The “Zoom In” function in the video mimics a spiritual journey, emphasizing the repetitive and comprehensive layouts that evolve into artistic methods filled with deep introspective significance, making the artworks appear as delicate jewels. As an artist who spans visual and musical mediums, I recognize the musical potential of colors. “Sons of the Sand” embodies this concept, transforming color into evocative melodies that are replete with melancholic allegories celebrating life itself.
